We used Makayla as our wedding photographer in April of this year. Makayla was an absolute joy to work with. I found her on the Knot and from our very first interaction she was warm and professional. We had an initial phone consultation to go over my vision and she was so great to talk to and helped me figure out what I wanted. Leading up to the wedding, Makayla was so great at texting me and having phone calls to make sure we had all the details down. She always offered help and made the whole experience so easy. On the wedding day she arrived early and ready to go. I am so glad we chose her! She had such a good understanding of what kind of pictures I wanted and made sure to get every shot. My husband and I hired Makayla for our wedding photos! She was so wonderful to work with! She was so attentive to the day of plans and made the day go so smoothly! We also were able to connect over the phone prior to our wedding a couple times just to go over details/styles of photos we were looking for! We both appreciated her attention to detail and her dedication to get the shots that we had expressed we would like to have.

I have gotten photos done from Makayla twice now because she’s just that good. Taking photos can be a little uncomfortable as I don’t know how to pose, and she truly does all the work. She knows exactly how to make you look good and makes it so fun! I could not recommend her enough. Truly a professional and knows exactly what she is doing. Always love the photos!!

Makayla did our engagement shoot and photographed our wedding and we couldn’t be happier! She is very professional but super bubbly and easy to work with. She is very helpful with posing especially if you’re more on the shy side. Her style ranges from traditional, to editorial, then to a whimsical artsy style. We loved working with her and more importantly loved her work. A true artist!
